The heat is on again as we finish out the workweek and head into the weekend. Actual afternoon highs climb to around 97° with heat index values around 105°. Expect intense sunshine with typical afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms. Rain coverage is in the 30% range so although some of us could get some stronger storms, not all of us will see showers.
