A new report shows that nearly 5 million people have left California for a different state in the last decade.
According to a report by the Sacramento Bee, nearly 5 million people left between 2004 and 2013, but approximately 3.9 million people moved here from other states.
In all, California has lost more than 1 million people and approximately $26 billion in annual income.
Nearly 600,000 Californians went to Texas, more than any other state, according to the data.
