FOX 13 Tampa Headlines

Neglected pup found abandoned outside Pinellas Park business

Someone abandoned a sweet pup that was severely neglected outside a Pinellas Park business, police said. The male bulldog mix, somewhere between 5-10 years old, was likely left sometime between Sunday and Monday morning.

He was in poor shape, police said, with chain or collar marks around his neck, one eye was closed and crusted, and he had irritated skin all over his body. He was filthy and shivering from the cold and extremely malnourished.

While police search for whoever left the dog, an employee of the business where the dog was abandoned, Adam Clark, has come forward to help the dog and took him to the vet for help.

The vet said the dog had been living on concrete for a while, which is why he had hardened nodules on his hindquarters and irritated skin. Clark has named the pup "Andray."

Investigators say they have very few leads and are asking anyone with information about the dog and who could have done this to come forward.
