Flooding concerns as heavy rain falls

Heavy rain is falling across the D.C. region Thursday morning and is expected to stay in the area until the weekend. Showers began during the afternoon and evening Wednesday and pushed in the overnight hours. Heavy storms have covered the area so far this morning. As the storms continue to dump precipitation on the region - the possibility of flooding rises. Also, commuters should use caution and allow extra time during both the morning and evening drives.
