Police investigating after St. Paul shooting leaves one man dead

Police are investigating after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound at a gathering in St. Paul on Wednesday night.

Officers were dispatched to the home on the 2400 block of Youngman Avenue around 9:45 p.m. on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead once Saint Paul Fire Medics responded.

"Preliminary information is that there was a gathering of several people at this residence when this incident occurred, and our investigators are currently interviewing those witnesses from the scene and also canvassing the neighborhood trying to determine the events that led to the death of this victim," St. Paul Police said.

At this time, no arrests have been made. The identification of the victim has yet to be released.
