* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR... EASTERN WILL COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ILLINOIS... LAKE COUNTY IN NORTHWEST INDIANA... NORTHERN KANKAKEE COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ILLINOIS... SOUTHEASTERN COOK COUNTY IN NORTHEAST ILLINOIS...

* UNTIL 1030 AM CDT

* AT 727 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT 1.5 TO 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN WITH AN OBSERVER NEAR MIDWAY AIRPORT REPORTING 0.87 INCHES IN ABOUT 20 MINUTES.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO OCCUR...ESPECIALLY ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND NEAR LOW WATER CROSSINGS. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING INCLUDE...ALSIP...BERWYN...BLUE ISLAND...BROOKFIELD...BURNHAM... CALUMET CITY...CEDAR LAKE...CHATHAM...CHICAGO...CHICAGO HEIGHTS... CICERO...CROWN POINT...DOLTON...EAST CHICAGO AND FLOSSMOOR.

* THESE STORMS WILL MOVE INTO LAKE COUNTY INDIANA THROUGH 8 AM CDT AND LIKELY PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL AND MINOR FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON SMALLCREEKS AND STREAMS...PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS... VIADUCTS...UNDERPASSES AND LOW LYING AREAS.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OF SMALLCREEKS AND STREAMS...HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS ANDOTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO MINOR FLOODING.
