Charges: Minnesota HS basketball coach filmed naked boys in shower

A Janesville, Minn. high school boys' basketball coach is facing charges for secretly filming players on the team while they were taking showers in the locker room.

After a basketball game in December 2014, one of the players on the Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton High School boys' basketball team discovered a camera disguised as a pen in the gym bag of their coach, 28-year-old Zachary Roberts. The players reported the pen to school authorities and the Janesville Police Department.

Investigators discovered the camera pen contained footage of a number of naked young men going into and out of the shower.

Roberts admitted to police the camera pen was his and he had purchased it to record boys in the boys' locker room. He told police he had done this 40 to 50 times in the past and would then use the videos for self-sexual gratification.

Roberts is being charged with four counts of interfering with the privacy of a minor and four counts of stalking a minor with sexual or aggressive intent.
