THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HONOLULU HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR THE ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY

* UNTIL 545 PM HST

* AT 238 PM HST...RADAR SHOWED HEAVY RAIN OVER KAUAI WITH THE MOST
INTENSE CELLS OVER THE NORTHERN AND EASTERN SLOPES ABOVE KILAUEA
AND HANALEI. HEAVY SHOWERS WERE ALSO ALONG THE SOUTHERN SLOPES
NEAR HANAPEPE AND LAWAI. THE RAINFALL IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR
SEVERAL HOURS AND DIMINISH CLOSE TO SUNSET.

* THIS ADVISORY COVERS ALL LOCATIONS EAST OF A LINE FROM KALALAU
VALLEY TO WAIMEA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

STAY AWAY FROM STREAMS...DRAINAGE DITCHES AND LOW LYING AREAS PRONE
TO FLOODING.

RAINFALL AND RUNOFF WILL ALSO CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS DUE
TO PONDING...REDUCED VISIBILITY AND POOR BRAKING ACTION.

DO NOT CROSS FAST FLOWING OR RISING WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE OR ON FOOT.
TURN AROUND...DON/T DROWN.
