Be prepared for another HOT afternoon across Northern California. Temperatures will be slightly cooler than yesterday, but will still be well above average for this time of year. Valley areas are starting out in the low to mid 60's this morning, while mountain areas have dipped into the low 40's to low 50's. High temperatures are projected to climb into the low to mid 90's in the valley, and mountain areas are expected to top out in the low 80's to low 90's. Winds will mostly be out of the South to 10mph today, but valley areas have light North winds this morning.
A significant cooling trend is on the way for Northern California through the weekend. Valley areas will dip into the high 70's to low 80's by Friday, and then down into the mid to high 60's on Sunday. Showers will be possible as early as Saturday afternoon in the mountains, and the potential for wet weather will spread across the entire region on Sunday. Valley areas could get up to a half an inch of rain between Sunday and Monday. The wet weather is expected to track East on Tuesday, as a modest warming trend builds back into Northern California. I hope everyone is excited about the cool weather ahead, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
