Warmth is forecast to build over much of the eastern half of the nation by July, with Alaska of all places helping out.
A complex of thunderstorms is forecast to hit areas from Dallas to Abilene, Texas late Monday night into Tuesday.
High pressure will build in the northeast Wednesday, dropping humidity and keeping the skies sunny.
Storms Monday evening in the South will bring the risk of flash flooding and locally damaging wind.
Gusty thunderstorms will rcontinue over the western Plains, Midwest and Southeast Tuesday evening. Wind, hail and isolated tornadoes are possible, along with heavy rain.
