A group of boaters got quite the excitement when they witnessed a big shark going after a tarpon in Tampa Bay.
Ashley Moore told FOX 13 she was fishing with her husband Kyle and Captain Rob Gorta in Tampa Bay on Friday. That's when they spotted some splashing in the water and went over to check it out.
"Just so surprised, excited. It was definitely a 'Nat Geo' moment that everyone was floored over," Gorta told FOX 13.
A large and hungry hammerhead shark was chasing after a tarpon right next to their boat. At one point, the tarpon jumped out of the water and even landed on the boat.
"The shark was around about three and a half minutes and it was most incredible experience ever," Gorta said.
In the video, the shark can be seen thrashing in the water before it eventually catches the tarpon.
