THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CARIBOU HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM SATURDAY TO
1 AM EST SUNDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS...HANCOCK COUNTY.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY EVENING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 16 INCHES IN A NARROW
BAND ALONG THE COAST AND PENOBSCOT BAY. AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY DROP
OFF CONSIDERABLY AWAY FROM THE COAST AND PENOBSCOT BAY.

* TIMING...LATE TONIGHT TO SATURDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACTS...LOCALLY HEAVY SNOWFALL AND AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WILL
RESULT IN DIFFICULT DRIVING CONDITIONS.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...HIGHS IN THE LOWER 20S ON SATURDAY...DROPPING
INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS ABOVE ZERO SATURDAY NIGHT.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.
