Florida officials are warning beach goers about strong rip currents along the eastern coast due to Hurricane Joaquin. Volusia County Beach Patrol said they are flying red flag warnings and are telling swimmers to stay close to lifeguard towers and close to shore if they wish to venture out into the water. Brevard County Lifeguards said they are flying a double red flag and are warning of swells that could reach nine feet over the weekend. Hurricane Joaquin will continue to move northeastward away from the Bahamas Saturday afternoon as a band of low pressure continues to push the storm away from the U.S.
