NNC NOW Headlines

Neighbors react after vandals snap, kill newly planted trees along Superior's N 21st St.

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- In June, crews in Superior had removed 500 of the city's 3,000 public ash trees in an effort to stop the spread of the invasive, and costly, Emerald Ash Borer. Where they've removed ash trees, they've also planted new, native trees. But along North 21st Street earlier this week, some residents woke up to an act of vandalism that has once again left their block treeless.
