Dash cam video shows a frightening shootout between a police officer and a driver he pulled over.
A Livonia, Michigan police officer pulled over the vehicle on April 10 after reports the vehicle was driving erratically.
The officer approached the vehicle when authorities say the driver, Joseph Carlton, pulled out a rifle.
Both individuals started firing, amazingly no one was seriously injured.
The Wayne County prosecutor’s office has charged Carlton with felonious assault as well as operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving on a suspended license.
The same man was arrested in Grand Rapids last year after he allegedly hit a pedestrian with his SUV while driving drunk.
Carlton was free on a $15,000 bond when this shooting incident occurred.
