A brush fire on Egmont Key continued to burn Wednesday morning.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said that the fire was 50 percent contained and involved 79 acres.
The fire sparked Tuesday afternoon following an earlier lightning strike, according to officials.
There is a lighthouse and a few structures on the key, but none of them are reported to be damaged by the fire.
The entire key is around 330 acres.
