Pinellas Tae Kwon Do instructor accused of molestation

A martial arts instructor is accused of molesting a 6- and a 7-year-old girl.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Crimes Against Children Unit arrested 23-year-old Andrew Jin Kim, a Tae Kwon Do instructor in St. Petersburg. He faces two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.

The investigation began in January after a victim told her mom the suspect touched her inappropriately while at Oh's Tae Kwon Do at 7520 Seminole Blvd. in Seminole, where he was an instructor.

The girl's mom called the sheriff's office.

According to investigators, Kim touched both victims inappropriately while they were undressed, then told the girls to keep it a secret.

Kim was interviewed by detectives February 5 and admitted to the allegations, then arrested. He was held at the Pinellas County Jail.

Investigators said the incidents happened between 2014 and 2015.

Detectives believe Kim may have had contact with other children. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective M. Kolenda with the Crimes Against Children's Unit at (727) 582-6200.
