WIND THREAT...

ENHANCED POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED TODAY RESULTING
FROM AN UPPER LOW POSITIONED TO THE SOUTHWEST. WIDESPREAD
THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS BEAR LAKE...SODA
SPRINGS...AND ALONG THE UTAH BORDER WHICH ARE FORECAST TO
PROGRESS TO THE NORTHWEST AND WEST...AFFECTING POCATELLO THIS
AFTERNOON. ACTIVITY WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD TO THE NORTHWEST INTO
IDAHO FALLS...ATOMIC CITY...AND MACKAY THROUGH THIS EVENING BEFORE
THE SEVERE THREAT DIMINISHES NEAR SUNSET. THREATS WILL INCLUDE
DAMAGING WINDS FROM INDIVIDUAL STORM CELLS...SMALL HAIL AND
LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS COULD REACH 0.50 TO
0.75 INCHES TODAY PARTICULARLY ACROSS THE BEAR LAKE REGION AND
THROUGHOUT THE SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS.

TOMORROW...ANOTHER WEAKENED POTENTIAL FOR ISOLATED TO SCATTERED
THUNDERSTORMS WILL EXIST ONCE MORE. THESE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED
TO BE AS STRONG AS TODAYS STORMS. RAINFALL TOTALS COMBINED WITH
FRIDAYS ACTIVITY ARE EXPECTED TO EXCEED 1 INCH IN SOME LOCATIONS.
REMEMBER IT IS NEVER SAFE TO DRIVE OR WALK THROUGH FLOODED
ROADS...ALL IT TAKES IS 12 INCHES OF WATER TO CARRY AWAY A SMALL
