Man ditches wrecked vehicle in middle of roadway

Man ditches wrecked vehicle in middle of roadway

Chico Police are searching for a man who ditched a car in the middle of the road way in Chico.

The unidentified man was seen by witnesses driving north on Walnut Street. Police are investigating whether or not he struck an object as the vehicle has sustained damage to the front passenger side tire and the vehicle limped to a stop near Cedar Street. The damage rendered the vehicle undriveable. 

The driver left the car where it died out and left the scene.

Police are currently investigating the ownership of the car but say it has not registered stolen.
