    One dead after car crashes into power pole in Oroville

    The CHP responded to a car versus power pole off of Lincoln Boulevard, just south of Oro Dam Boulevard, just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday.


    According to the CHP, a power pole was broken in half when the car smashed into it.


    The man driving the car was airlifted to Enloe Medical Center, and is in serious but stable condition.


    His female passenger was killed.


    No other vehicles were involved.


    PG&E is expected to arrive on scene to repair the damage.


    No other details about the female victim or the man have been released.
