Eighty one golfers braved the heat to raise money for a good cause.
Chico's Canyon Oaks Country Club hosted the fifth annual Lance Utterback Memorial Golf Tournament.
Utterback is a former Chico Police Officer who lost his battle with cancer 11 years ago.
The tournament was originally set up to fund a scholarship to the Butte Law Enforcement Academy in his name. But now that that scholarship is fully funded, the golf tournament is able to help other worthy causes.
Organizers expect this year's tournament to raise $6000 - $7000 for current Chico Police Officer Darren Reichel.
Reichel was one of Utterback's closest friends and he is now fighting his own cancer battle.
"It's not about me, it's not about the police department, it's about giving back to our community and the people in our community, so I’m really looking forward to writing a big check to Darren and helping him out in his time of need," said Peter Durfee, the event’s organizer.
"Everybody's happy, and that's the whole idea, everyone come out and have a good time, and lets have fun," said Keith Anderson, a golfer in the tournament.
The popular annual event featured hole-in-one giveaways like the Harley Davidson Motorcycle you just saw, as well as a Ford Mustang on a different hole.More
