Cooling Trend Ahead In Your Late Week Forecast

Cooling Trend Ahead In Your Late Week Forecast

A significant cooling trend is ahead for the rest of your work week forecast. Temperatures will begin to cool down today, and temperatures will continue to plummet through Friday. Temperatures have dipped into the low to mid 60's in the valley overnight, and higher elevations are starting out in the low 40's to mid 50's in the mountains this morning. High temperatures are projected to climb into the mid to high 80's in the valley this afternoon, and into the mid 70's to low 80's in the mountains. Skies are starting out mostly clear, but clouds are expected to increase over the next 48 hours. Winds will be up to around 10mph out of the Southeast in the valley today, and out of the Southwest to 15mph in the higher elevations. Humidity values will only fall to around 25 percent this afternoon.

The cooling trend will ramp up on Friday as high temperatures are only projected to climb into the high 70's for the valley. The potential for showers will arrive in the far northern zones of the state on Friday. The best chance for wet weather will be in Siskiyou County, but there will also be a chance of a dusting of snow along the peak of the Northern Sierra and Cascades. A slight rebound in temperatures will be ahead for Saturday, but only into the low to mid 80's in the valley. Then low to mid 90's will return to the valley on Sunday, and last through the start of next week. I hope everyone is ready for the fall like weather ahead for the end of this week, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
