Who is ready to go skiing in the Alps this winter? Would you like to swim the beautiful coral in the Great Barrier Reef? Both sound like exciting trips, but they may not be a possibility in the future.

The realities of global warming may bring danger to some popular destinations. Carbon emissions from flights, rental cars and other tourist activities only help further climate change, which could in turn create problems in the future.

There are new ways emerging that allow people to still enjoy the outdoor experience without harming the environment. An industry call eco-tourism lets people be a part of nature while leaving the environment nearly untouched.
