    First CD/DVD you ever bought?
Well, how about first RECORD (as I really date myself)? It was the Beatles' 45-single "Eight Days a Week."
What made you choose weather/meteorology/broadcasting as a career?
I moved to Florida at the age of 10, and the weather, especially the daily summer thunderstorms and tropical weather, mesmerized me. At the age of 12, I knew what I wanted to do for a living.
    Weirdest job you've ever held?
I had a job at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Md., my sophomore year of college. Part of my work included being a guinea pig for health studies which included being given a fever of 103 to see how effective aspirin was on the fever and also the testing of a then-new drug for malaria.
    Your current desktop picture?
My one cat Holly. She has been my constant companion at work for 13 years and wherever I go she goes.
    Hobbies / Special Interests
My main hobby is now singing a cappella with a local barbershop chorus and quartet. Nothing is better than singing great harmony without the aid of instruments other than your voice.
    Favorite place to vacation?
Vegas baby!!! It's always a great time and a fun place to be, but I also like to cruise and see new places.
