My interest in the weather, like many of my fellow meteorologists, dates back to elementary school.

Anything catchy that is more about being noticed and getting attention than the actual music.
If you could go back or forward in time, where would you go?
Definitely back, and probably to some of the pivotal moments in American History. It would be cool to get a first-hand understanding of the things that my ancestors went through. Ben Franklin, Abigail Adams, Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, Wyatt Earp, Martha Jane Cannary, Glenn Miller, Winfield Hayes and Steve Prefontaine are among the people I'd enjoy getting to chat with.

My great-gram shortly before I turned one.

Well, I'm partial to the Mustang (since cost isn't an issue here, I'll go with a classic Shelby or see how the new Boss 302 turns out). However, the Subaru STI, Chevy Camaro SS, Audi R8 and Infiniti G37 are also on the leaderboard.
If you could be any fictional character - who would you be?
What would I find in your refrigerator right now?
Toaster Strudel, my Dad's homemade pizza, a pot roast, corned beef, lots of fruits and veggies, milk and cheese.
One meal for the rest of your life - what would it be?
Hobbies / Special Interests?
I've played the French Horn for almost as long as I can remember. Performing with various community bands and ensembles with my mother and brother was a special part of my childhood, and continues to be my favorite part of the Christmas Season.
Growing up I was also into figure skating, competing up and down the Eastern Seaboard in both singles and synchronized skating. During college I took up ice hockey and had a blast playing in the intramural league.
At Cornell, I was also on the varsity rowing team. Since then, I've gone back to my roots in distance running. I train for and run in a couple marathons a year, and am toying with the idea of running an ultra-marathon (50 miles) this fall.
Favorite place to vacation?
Anywhere. The world is a big place. I'd like to see as much as I can.
