Eric Wilhelm was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University before moving to central Pennsylvania to begin his career at AccuWeather in 2001. Each week he hosts an entertaining and informative Astronomy show right here on AccuWeather.com. You can also catch him on nearly every radio affiliate AccuWeather serves, including stations in markets such as New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Detroit and Los Angeles.

Weirdest job you've ever held?
In high school I was a grocery bagger;not a weird job, but you might say me winning the store "bagging contest" and advancing to the "regional semifinals" is weird. Amazingly, I didn't date much in high school.
Favorite sports team? Music? Movie genre?
I am from northern Ohio where we love our Browns, Cavs, Indians and Buckeyes. What we don't love is losing in the torturous, humiliating fashion that Cleveland teams usually lose in.
Any weird talents?
I can fold my ears to make them pointy like Mr Spock. I should probably be in the circus.

Right.
Last movie you watched/book you read?
I am currently reading "These Guys Have All the Fun", about the history of ESPN.
Favorite day of the year?
Christmas and the 4th of July.
Celebrity you (or other people) think you resemble? Who would play you in a movie?
John Cusack would certainly play me and not Henry Margusity.
Song you hate the most?
No individual song, but I think many bands should go the way of the dinosaur.
Any superstitions you believe/practice?
-Nope!
Favorite/most adtictive form of social media?
-Twitter, by a mile. I am probably on it way too much.
Favorite Kevin Bacon movie?
-Plains, Trains and Automobiles. He's only in it for 2 minutes but he knocks it out of the park.
Coffee or Tea?
Neither! I get my caffeine from the sweet nectar of Diet Mountain Dew and Diet Pepsi.
What's a word you say a lot?
"Weather", "AccuWeather" "Meteorologist" "Eric Wilhelm". On a typical work day I probably say those words around 300 times each.
Favorite age you have been so far?
30.

My wife.
Most influential people in your life?
My wife, my father and my grandmother.
Favorite season?
Spring.
What is your earliest memory?
Being in the hospital room after having surgery at age 3.
PC or MAC?
The Wilhelm house uses Apple products and we are very snobby and pretentious about it.
What would I find in your refrigerator right now?
A potpourri of healthy food and food that is probably shortening my life.
One meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pasta and meatballs with garlic bread.
Hobbies /Special Interests / If Golf, what's your Handicap?
I play golf, I play basketball, and I play football. I do none of those particularly well.
Favorite place to vacation?
Was just in Hawaii on my honeymoon and it's now solidly in first place in the Vacation Leaderboard.
