Eric Reese

I grew up in Jermyn, Pa., and like any other child of the 90s, I listened to Nirvana, believed Pluto was a planet, and played my Sega Genesis, which I still have to this day. Growing up in northeastern Pennsylvania, I really got to experience all four seasons, and the best and worst weather they produce.

I don't know if it was the 2 feet of snow, or nearly a week off from school, but the blizzard of '93 was what first piqued my interest in weather. From there, I only became more fascinated, which led to my decision to get my degree in meteorology from Penn State.

I didn't have to move far to start my career, and did in 2007 with AccuWeather. Here, I'm responsible for forecasting for six continents and every type of client we serve. I really like that I get to work with so many different clients and climates. One thing I've learned while working with the weather, it effectively ends any chance of getting another snow day.

Outside of AccuWeather, I enjoy spending time with my fiance and planning our August wedding. I also try to golf and enjoy soccer and football. I'll listen to almost anything from country to grunge and rock and enjoy spending time at home watching movies.

Celebrity you (or other people) think you resemble?

Any superstitions you believe/practice?
I never mention a no-hitter that's in progress, unless its against the Diamondbacks.
Favorite Kevin Bacon movie?
Apollo 13. If I wasn't a Meteorologist, I'd like to do something with Astronomy.
Favorite Season?
Summer. I know winter got me into the weather, but my lack of skiing or snowboarding skills really puts a damper on all that snow.
One meal for the rest of your life – what would it be?
Five Guys Burgers
