Amy joined the AccuWeather team as a Television Broadcaster in June 2009. Before AccuWeather, she has been an invaluable asset to various markets across the Eastern Seaboard ranging from Syracuse, N.Y., to Washington, D.C. Amy conquered the upstate New York region at stations WKTV-NBC Utica, WWNY-CBS Watertown, and WSYR-ABC Syracuse as a reporter and producer. She also spent her summers interning at WPVI-ABC and Comcast in Philadelphia, Pa.

Amy is a native of New Hope, Pa. In May 2009, Amy earned her Bachelor's of Science in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in addition to her Bachelor's in Political Science.

While at Syracuse, Amy anchored and reported for the entirely student-operated news station, CitrusTV. There, she discovered her passion for meteorology when she stepped in front of the green screen to forecast the snowy skies of Syracuse. Amy has always been a fan of the camera and is continuing her education in meteorology at Penn State University.

Amy's experience in the political field allowed her to report for COX Broadcasting in Washington, D.C., where she reported straight from Capitol Hill.

When Amy is not forecasting, she resides at her second home – the gym – where she enjoys running. She also likes to shop for the newest, trendy designs, explore new restaurants, hang out with friends and travel. She is certain to always keep her umbrella handy!
