Boston is in for more snow this weekend as a winter storm moves through New England Saturday and Sunday.

Snow will become steady and back farther west into Boston and its suburbs in the evening hours Saturday as temperatures dip into the mid-20s overnight.

Travel issues could begin late Saturday night. Motorists should exercise caution as freezing may occur, particularly on untreated roadways.

Winds will start to kick up after midnight, blowing at 20 to 30 mph and gusting to 45 mph. Gusts could reach 60 mph along the Cape.

The strongest winds will kick in early Sunday morning through much of the afternoon, with gusts up to 50 mph in the city.

Significant blowing and drifting will occur with very low visibility, dropping near zero at times.

Snow will fall heaviest into the morning hours Sunday but will taper off in the afternoon.

Totals of 3 to 6 inches are likely in the city, while between six and 10 inches may fall on the Cape.
