Showers and thunderstorms are rattling much of the East Coast with the heaviest thunderstorms in place across the mid-Atlantic, eastern North Carolina and the Florida Peninsula.
Damaging winds and hail have already been reported in the strongest thunderstorms. One such thunderstorm downed between three and five trees in Battery Park City, N.Y.
Meanwhile, a funnel cloud was sighted in Baltimore's Roland Park.
