Storms producing heavy rainfall moved though Washington, D.C., Maryland and Pennsylvania on Tuesday, then flooded streets in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Wednesday.

The heavy rain and cloud cover has caused flight delays at New York's LaGuardia Airport for both inbound and outbound flights. At least 250 flights are delayed as of 4:30 p.m. EDT Wednesday.

"This guy really has to get to work on time," Brooklyn resident Ian Stiles tweeted with this photograph.

The radar snapshot shows heavy rain around New York City on May 8. While rain will continue on Thursday, the same level of flooding is not expected.
