FREEZING RAIN IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.



A DEVELOPING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CURRENTLY IN NORTHWESTERN ALBERTA WILL TRACK ACROSS THE PROVINCE TONIGHT. AS THIS LOW MOVES ACROSS IT WILL SPREAD AN AREA OF FREEZING RAIN TO MOST PARTS OF NORTHERN ALBERTA. THE THREAT OF FREEZING RAIN WILL END THIS EVENING FOR WESTERN REGIONS AND THEN OVERNIGHT FOR REGIONS FURTHER EAST AS THE LOW MOVES INTO SASKATCHEWAN. WHILE AIR TEMPERATURES IN SOME REGIONS HAVE CLIMBED ABOVE ZERO TODAY, SURFACES ARE EXPECTED TO COOL BELOW ZERO EARLY THIS EVENING AND ANY RAIN THAT FALLS MAY STILL FREEZE ON CONTACT.
