Rain, at times heavy, is expected.
A slow moving low pressure system over western Manitoba will track slowly northeastward. Significant rainfall between 40 and 70 mm can be expected tonight and Sunday morning. The rain will taper off from west to east during the day on Sunday as this system continues to track away from the regions. Current computer models indicate the heaviest band of rain will occur north of Norway House and Island Lake but south of Shamattawa.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
