Director, Human Resources: AccuWeather, Inc. is currently seeking a solution oriented professional to assist in the development and delivery of transactional and strategic Human Resources support (recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation, training, and organizational development) to contribute to the growth and success of AccuWeather, Inc. We are specifically interested in candidates with demonstrated expertise in ALL major HR disciplines; a business orientation, proactive & collaborative style, critical thinking skills, and uncompromising integrity.

    The qualified candidate will have a bachelor's degree and eight+ years of HR generalist experience preferred; demonstrated expertise in all major HR disciplines including OD and change management; strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills; ability to drive consensus; strong computer skills, including database management; and knowledge of state and federal labor laws, employment legal practices and policies.

  4. Direct Mail Marketing Assistant: AccuWeather has an opening for a full time Direct Mail Marketing Assistant. We are searching for someone who is highly organized, with outstanding communication and proofreading skills. The Direct Mail Marketing Assistant improves and cleanses our existing mail and email lists and generates new ones as needed. This includes researching lists, searching the Internet and a variety of source books and other sources to find and maintain lists for optimal response rate and accuracy. This individual also manages direct and electronic mail lists, coordinates literature files and distribution, and works to minimize waste and unnecessary costs. Qualified candidates must have their high school diploma or GED and three years administrative experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Word, Word Perfect and Excel experience is also preferred.
  5. OFFICE OF LEGAL SERVICES
  6. Collections Supervisor: AccuWeather has an opportunity for a full-time Collections Supervisor in its State College office. Responsibilities include supervision of the Collections Coordinator. Additionally, this position is involved with all aspects of the collection process, including communications with delinquent clients and outside collections agencies, and the tracking and management of data and information concerning collection efforts. A Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years experience are required. Outstanding computer skills and attention to detail a must.

Account Executive, AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive: We have a great opportunity at our Philadelphia Area Sales Office with excellent potential income including base, commission and excellent benefits. We are looking for an experienced sales person selling into the educational market — schools K-12, colleges, universities, and public libraries. We provide the most unique multimedia archive of photos, text, and graphics available through our partnership with the Associated Press. If you have educational sales experience or would like to begin a career in the educational sales field, we want to talk to you. A bachelor’s degree and experience in the educational field are required. Up to 25% travel is expected for this position.
    Senior Account Executive, Television Sales: We have a terrific opportunity for a senior account executive to sell a great line of HD weather systems and services to television stations and networks. Your product portfolio will include weather information processing and HD display systems for on-air presentation, franchising, program content and innovative New Media products. You will be responsible for selling into an established territory with both existing and new client opportunities. You should be a self-starter driven toward success and winning. To qualify, you should have an established track record in consultative selling and will have represented mission-critical solutions to top decision makers. TV industry contacts and experience are highly desirable. Up to 60% travel is required. This position has unlimited growth potential and includes comprehensive support staff services.
    Executive Director - TV/Convergence Sales: AccuWeather, Inc., the worldfs leading commercial weather company, is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, high-energy sales executive to lead the continued expansion of several established product lines. The organization you build will present industry-leading weather services to existing customers and prospects in the television, IPTV, ITV, and digital tier cable industries. Your ability to recruit, train, lead and motivate an effective sales staff will contribute directly to your earning potential and career advancement. AccuWeather is a supportive team atmosphere with state-of-the-art sales productivity tools and strong Marketing support for sales activity. Strong West Coast customer contacts are a plus.

    The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree and 5 to 7 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You must be able to travel up to 60% or as needed with the sales representatives on sales calls and to various trade shows to provide further management and training assistance.
  9. SYSTEM OPERATIONS
  10. NOC Support Technician:AccuWeather, Inc. has an opening for a Network Operations Center Support Technician. You will be responsible for monitoring and routine maintenance of a 24/7 computer room operation, as well as first line technical support for client and in-house computer related problems. We are looking for someone with excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, a broad range of computer experience, and the availability to work various shifts including weekends. Experience with a company providing online services is a plus.
    Mac Support Technician: We are looking for an experienced Macintosh technician to support Macintosh computers and servers for corporate staff and production environment, providing the highest level of customer service at all times.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Respond to and resolve high-priority support requests
    • Be available for support outside of normal work hours
    • Install, upgrade, and maintain software, hardware and peripherals
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
    • Troubleshoot network and remote access connectivity problems
    • Produce documentation as needed
    • Train end-users as needed
    • Assist other IT staff members as needed

    Successful candidate must have a strong understanding of Internet and networking protocols. 3 years related experience doing workstation/server support in a medium to large corporate environment. Experience with Windows and Unix is a plus. Other important skills include configuring and administering e-mail, Office products, file serving and backup solutions in a cross-platform environment. You should have a working knowledge of a broad area of hardware and networking issues, with experience in providing estimates and project planning. Excellent communication skills and an ability to respond to remote client needs is a must.
  11. SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
  12. Mobile Web Developer / New Media Programmer: AccuWeather’s System Engineering Department is looking for an experienced Mobile web developer to play a key role in shaping the architecture, functionality, UI and overall user experience for our ever expanding portfolio of products in the Wireless / Mobile Web space. The successful candidate will primarily participate in the development of new Wireless-related projects in the .NET web environment. The qualified individual will also have the ability to be self-directed, produce high-quality work the first time out, and have excellent communication skills. Successful candidate should have completed a four-year degree with at least two years post-educational development experience.
    TV Systems Programmer: The successful candidate would join a dedicated team developing next generation weather graphics display systems for our TV department. The candidate must have strong oral & written communication skills, be knowledgeable of software development methodologies, be knowledgeable of systems analysis and design methodologies, and be able to work both independently and as a team player. Successful candidate should have completed a four-year degree, and have 2 to 5 years of recent software development experience.
  13. VIDEO BROADCASTING
  14. Video Technician: We are seeking a highly organized, reliable, and detailed individual that has experience operating audio/video equipment. Audio/video experience with master control equipment to include cameras, switchers, mixers and tape decks is mandatory. General knowledge of satellite delivery systems is preferred. Intermediate Windows and Mac computer skills are mandatory. You will need to be able to evaluate and solve problems that occur with the equipment. This is a part-time position.
