State College, PA, April 3, 2013: An expanded executive team was announced today by AccuWeather, Inc., the world's leading weather information source, reconfirming the company's focus on digital media. Jim Candor has been promoted to Chief Strategy Officer, Steven Smith has been promoted to Chief Digital Officer, and John Dokes, formerly of Marvel Entertainment, has been appointed Chief Marketing Officer.
Jim Candor's new position as Chief Strategy Officer is charged with developing corporate vision and strategies for the entire AccuWeather organization and for each business unit. Jim has most recently served as AccuWeather's Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer for Digital Media.

Steve will work closely with Jim and will be responsible for implementing the strategy for Digital Media through its various product offerings on both desktop and mobile. Steve was previously the Chief Information Officer, where he led creation of the infrastructure that now serves over one trillion weather requests per year.
John Dokes has joined AccuWeather as Chief Marketing Officer. He will be responsible for branding, visibility, demand creation, and lead generation across all AccuWeather business units. John has a long history of creating new products, increasing revenue, and developing innovative marketing initiatives at MTV Network-Viacom and Marvel Entertainment. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Integrated Sales and Marketing at Marvel Entertainment.
